RSTI trains a variety of students from all over the world including those who are already employed, looking for a career change, or want to begin their career path in diagnostic imaging service.

The majority of our classes require a 2-year degree in electronics or equivalent experience. Instructors can evaluate individual qualifications upon request. Specific prerequisites are listed on each course outline.
Classes are typically structured to include classroom lecture in the morning, break for lunch, and hands-on labs in the afternoon.

Popular on-site training courses include PACS Training and any of its components (networking, DICOM, PACS), portable X-Ray systems (all OEM's), C-Arms (all OEM's), and Capital Asset Management. Our X-Ray Certificate Series classes, Phases I-IV, are generally not offered on-site because of the variety of equipment we have installed at RSTI for hands-on labs. It is often difficult to schedule practical application on equipment that is used and in demand at a hospital.
Short courses are also offered regularly to local biomedical societies and technical schools. These provide a general overview of what is taught at RSTI and what can be expected in the field of diagnostic imaging repair and maintenance.
Certified Radiological Equipment Specialist
Our CRES Preparatory Course is and advanced instruction training program specifically designed to review the major subject areas covered in the exam. This segment consists of 9 learning modules. Each module becomes a self-learning tutorial with it's own set of terminal objectives and core learning material. The modules consist of numerous sections that include resource material, programmed instruction, and criterion test items.
